Default Question for those who know the 4.7L

Ok, so as I was driving home from work tonight, and was wondering if the 4.7L has changed any prior to the new design proposed for 08?

Like, is the 4.7L that is in the 05, 06, 07 the same as the 4.7L that was inthe 2nd Gens?

Thanks! :-)

That's pretty indepth. If they're the same engine, how come nobody has come out with the computer mods yet? Isn't the fuel mapping the same? I didn't see anything in there stating that.

I think it's time to see if this can be fitted to the older GenIIIs. New style heads, ign. sytem and ECM. I bet the mounts and crank to flexplate/flywheel/ torque converter would be similar. I wonder if it would work????? Sure has a but load more power than the non HO 4.7.

Why buy parts from the dealer that are on the new engine, when they will be like a buttload of money.

Why not just buy parts for the older 4.7L's? Anyone following me.
