Default Tailgate Lock Question

Hi,
I recently took a new job. I will be using my 06 Dakota for work. I will be hauling some expensive calibration equipment in the back of the truck. I bought a nice tonneau cover to keep it safe from the elements but need a lock for the tailgate. Anyone know where to get a decent lock for a fair price?

Thanks

I've seen a lot of reasonably priced locks for 04 and older, but not for 05 and newer.

www.popandlock.net

ive seen this before, it mounts on your existing tailgate and prevents one latch from "unlocking" when locked therefore the tailgate cannot open.

That site showed the locks for 97 and new Daks. On ebay and other sites they have them seperated from 97-04 and 05-07. Did the tailgate latch really change with the 05 model?

Check out www.autoanything.com. and type in Pop n Lock in the search field. $49.95 and free shipping. Same one I installed in my '05. 15 min. install. Works great.

I have a Pace Edwards tonneau cover with Pop & Lock, it works very nice where you can sure the whole cargo bed. Of course if they want in, they'll get in, but a descent deterant.
