Sorry for the double post....I checked the manual....The PCV is actually located on the oil fill tube, not on the valve cover...I think a cool looking air filter would not look cool on the oil fill tube...

I don't know why you would willingly pollute the atmosphere with unburned hydrocarbons. Manufacturers have done away with breathers and draft tubes for that reason and replaced them with the PCV system!

First of all, the amount of pollution released into the atmosphere is extremely minimal. The reason that people opt for the breather is to keep the heat from the valve covers out of the intake, and to make sure oil blowback from the valve covers doesn't reach the intake manifold. The best solution is to apply a breather filter, but run a foot of rubber hi-temp hosing between the new filter and the valve cover. This allows the filter to stay cleaner because it will be out of harms way of the oil being kicked around inside the valve covers.
