forget the kit. most of use went and bought mufflers and had the exhaust shop do the piping. a lot cheaper and if you pay in cash some places charge no tax.

You can easily add to the 1 ft piece of connector pipe that comes with it (I'm just guessing at the lengths here) with a 18 inch section you can buy at Autozone or Napa for $5 and cut it to the exact length you need...No biggie. The kit doesn't ship to you like the picture is on their website (ie. fully assembled). You put it together, but now, with a $15 (or whatever) extra piece of pipe you provide forward of the muffler, to take up the extra room that removing that fwd resonator will leave. Then, after getting it welded up, enjoy your new sound!!

This is something I've been thinking about getting done. What was the final cost you guys had w/ installing the new exhaust system?

I'll be honest with you on the whole reso thing. I left the front one on and took of the back. It doesn't affect the performance, just the sound. It's a straight through pipe wrapped with alum. Before I had the exhaust guy do the work, he asked me about whether or not I wanted it. I asked him about it and he said it's straight through. My truck sounds great with magnaflow system that I put in.

EZEGOIN, I spent about 392.00 to mine done. It's a catback exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler, dual swept back.

I had a muffler shop simply throw in their own tubing from the cat back into a Flowmaster 40, exit out the stock location - all for $250.00. This was over a year ago, still in great shape, still sounds like animal. My only complaint is the sound distortion of the exhasut at high RPMs due to crush bent pipe versus mandrel bent. Otherwise, it's fun as hell to hear it rev
