Fuse Question
Is thee a fuse that only works for the seat belt alarm ? Before I start taking fuses out one at a time, I wonder if anybody else has already found the proper fuse. Or is there a connector that I can disconnect ?
I asked my dealer about it and they said there is nothing that can be done, she said in hers she just took the middle belt and buckeled it into that slot lol, I also double checked the fuses and i cant find one just for that.
You can actually disable the seat belt alarm w/out pulling any fuses. There's a procedure in the manual that details this; I would advise you to check that. Going from memory, though, all you need to do is start the truck, buckle and unbuckle three times within 10 seconds, shut the truck off, then start it up again and you should be good. i might be off on some of the details, but that should be pretty close for you. I can check tonight when I get home, if you'd like.

yeah, close....
1) Get in the truck.
2) Buckle your seat belt. (this will keep you from hearing any chimes that might mess you up)
3) Turn the from off to run 3 time within 10 seconds. (you should hear a chime indicating the change.)
You will still have the light on, but no more chime. (if you get in the truck and forget this... it is in the owners manual. I dont remember what pages, but look it up in the index.)

You only have to do it once. i did it the day I got my truck. The light is on, but no chime. The light does go out if you buckle up. And yes the procedure can be done again to undo the doings.

I finally got around to disabling the seatbelt alarm. Turning the ignition on/off three times didn't shut the alarm off so I read the manual. Maybe 2005 is different than 2006.
1) Sit in the truck with seatbelt buckled
2) Start the engine
3Wait for the seatbelt light go go out
4) Unbucle/buckle three times ending with the seatblet buckled
A chime sounds signaling the seatbelt alarm is disabled.
