Default Aftermarket Wheels

OK, Who has found a decent aftermarket 16" wheel for 3rd gen Dakotas. I've been looking, but it seems no manufacturer wants to make 16" wheels to fit Dakotas.

Anybody???

I thought there was a site somewhere that would sell us lightweight wheels for our bolt pattern, I remember looking into them one day. I have no doubt these trucks would benefit greatly from a lighter wheel.

bolt pattern is the same as a 1500 Ram. 5x5.5". Eagle, American Racing, Pro Comp all make a lot of wheels that will fit in a 16x8 size. Go to Ebay and type in any of the above brands and 16x8 in search field. You will find lots. www.procomptires.com is a good website to get some good pics. keith

I'm just wondering why you don't go with like 17"

I mean the stock tires are crap as is... and.... there are TONS of options available for 17s..

Thanks for the quick replies. I have done some searches with your suggestions and have found at least one manufacturer that meets my standards for wheels.

Some of you want to know why I don't look at 17's or bigger..... well, that's not what my thread's question was about, now was it?

It's merely a question of economics: if you go with larger diameter wheels, the tires are more expensive. It's a big manufacturer's marketing ploy, 'use less rubber to make the tire and charge more money.'

And finally: I have a set of 16' tires sitting in my building that I want to use for summer time. I just want a set of decent lookin' wheels to mount them on.

Salute to all military personnel serving in Iraq and Afghanistan!
