Default Help with new rims and tires

Im looking to get new 20 inch rims for my truck...and new tires....I have some rims in mind but am confused over tire size..I would like to get a nice size tire that looks more like a truck tire than a racing low profile......what sizes would be good for our trucks that would look good and not rub....Any help would be greatly appreciated........

i was looking into the tis 09 series for my truck. but also still looking for a nice tire. www.tirerack.com has a set up where you can figure out a wheel and tire combo, also www.townfairtire.com

I say do like me and get the stock 06 1500 rims. The truck rides and handles well with the 2754520's on it. Ther eis no mess with worrying about offset or clearance. Also all stock lugnuts fit, too many aftermarket rims require the skinny lug nuts and key that would be a PIA in the event of a flat.

Click on that link above. You can see what 20's with 275/45's look like. No rubbing or fittment issues at all. Hope that helps. Tires are Eagle GTII's

Seems like most people go with 275/45 but why does tirerack recommend 265/50? Would there be much difference?

Oh, I do have the Laramie with 265/70R16 and the specs for overall diameter match perfectly. Maybe it's just preference (or price).

275/45's just give you a wider contact patchon the ground than the 265/50's and they keep the same relative diameter. There's probably more of a selection in the 275's also.
