I love my AEM Brute Force! There is no oil in/on the filter, just wash and dry. Sounds great and gave me 1 MPG better fuel economy, when I can keep my pedel off the floor.( which is hard becase it sounds so good at WOT)

How would you even go about making a heat shield?

Easily...You can probally use the stock air box...Allthough you may be able to find a heat shield off ebay..I dunno Iam keeping mine the way it is till summer cause I have had no problems with it and it adds power with or with out a heat shield.. Plus it looks good and sounds sick..When I shut the truck off you can hear it discharging and while iam driving at like 1500-2000 RPM it sqeals like bad brakes do..

???

Are you just saying that it whistles pretty loudat these RPM's? If it sounds like bad brakes I don't think I would be able to deal with it.

Yeah it definetly should it only does it at certain rpm...My buddys tacoma had a Injen on it and when he first put it on he though his brakes where bad..Every one i know with a intake hears the same thing at a certain RPM.Also if you can hold it right where it sqeals the MPH goes up and the RPM stays the same..Its really wierd but i have absolutly no complaints....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-04...QQcmdZViewItem
