now you should be about 195/200 to the wheels and about 230/240 trq. after the chip it will vary because of the other stuff needed . cooler stat 180 is what jet wants. and your next mod should be a bigger throttle body from www.thefastman.com this is a must mod for our 4.7

For some reason I would have a hard time trusting and exhaust shop to do anything if they don't know what an "X" pipe is.You should ask them if they at least know what an "H" pipe is since that is the old school way of doing it.

Are you saying this is a must mod even without the chip for the 4.7? or is it not very effective w/o the chip? I've heard so many conflicting opinions regarding the TB, but I know you run some nice hp.

After I put on my Cat back dual, airaid intake and my jet chip stage I, I only ended up with 168hp/219lbs oftqat the wheels. But I have an AWD truck, so I lost that power between the wheels. I'd say that your truck, if it's not a AWD, had about 176hp at the wheels, and you probably added about 20hp in that area.

If you want decent gains, you can start off with the TB. Dan said that you'd get about a 10hp/tq gain. Here's what JetChip says about the Stage II chip:
Stage 2-Designed for the performance enthusiast, the Stage 2 features more aggressive programming to make the most horsepower and torque available. Fuel and timing curves are extensively modified for peak performance and drivability. Requires use of 91 octane fuel, 180 degree thermostat and free flow exhaust. Also works well with aftermarket intake systems, mass air sensors, TBI spacers, etc. Stage 2-Designed for the performance enthusiast, the Stage 2 features more aggressive programming to make the most horsepower and torque available. I'll let you know when I get my TB in. I just installed my Stage II a couple of days ago.
