window cracked from cold?

wow, glad i saw this post. when i was driving in that blizzard a couple of weeks ago in ohio, i was just going along when my windshield cracked all the way across all of a sudden and for no appearant reason. freaked me out. i was only driving about 15 mph and nothing besides snow hit my windshield. i have been thinking defect, but thought no one would believe me.

Yea thinking a defect, as said before I spent 3 years in alaska in the military near fairbanks with temp -50to-60 and never heard of a window cracking due to the cold

ManI knew it got cold around here, but thats really freakin' cold... I thought that those type of temperatures where only seen on at the poles.

It hit -59 with out wind chill when i was up there once and there was a breeze, normal cold was -40's but used the other just as an example for the topic, but yea it was quite cold, it hurt to go out side, and no at that temp your pee does not freeze before hitting the ground right after hitting the ground (just thought i would throw that in, I know someone was thinking it)[sm=bustedsign.gif]
