window cracked from cold?
I went out to start the 3500 CTD Dually that I have had 4 Months, opened the door, sat in , put the key in the ignition, (it's cold, about 25 and snow), hadn't even started the motor yet, closed the door normally and the Driver Window CRACKED! wtf? all the way across the bottom. I didn't slam it, nothing hit it, no heat, I just pulled the door closed normally and CRACK!
anyone ever hear of this?
thanks

O_o weird...I had a friend who went outside, found ice on her windshield, and being from california, and an exaggerater comes in freaking out like the world has tilted off its axis, goes back outside with hot water and cracked the windshield...and it was about 25, but not doing anything shouldn't do that. Is the dually brand new or was it bought used?
I live in Alaska and have seen temps of as low as -65. Neither I, nor anyone I know, have ever had this problem. This is definitely not a temp issue and I would go to your dealership if your truck is still under warranty and have the windshield replaced.

sounds to me like a defect...

BTW:I'm not saying it isn't possible and never happened with in house stuff.

it is a side window. there was another story a few posts up about a girl who dumped hot water on her windshield and cracked it, but the guy with the original problem (and what is probably a sweet dually) had his problem with the driver's window.
