I am trying to figure it out... My amp sub box combo maybe weighs 55 pounds. I have a quad cab, so the weight there... ( something like 4700 pounds compaired to 3700 right?) I guess if I shave off 1100 pounds I would be in the 13's or 14's... (more like chainsaw off pounds!) I kinda doubt it though, this truck doesnt feel like it pulls hard enough to hit those 1/8 and 1/4 MPH's...
I was curious, so I checked on the weight difference...it's only 200-300 lbs. or so between the QC and CC. The CC 2wd came in at 4285, CC 4wd at 4470, QC 2wd at 4379 and the QC 4wd at 4652. All of the trucks specified where SLTs with the V6, but the weight of the V8 will be the same for everyone, so the differences will still remain the same.
So you only need to find 200-300 lbs. to take out of it. Maybe pop the sub out, and drop the spare tire for your track run...that won't get you all of it, but it's a start.
Side note: The Dodge website for the Dakota is next to useless anymore for research. All they do is link to a PDF which doesn't have half the information they used to have.
