got my shocks today
nice set of shocks came in for me today. after the install took truck for a drive and i shook so bad had to pull over. we limped the truck back to the shop and called bilstein. come to find out there is a left and and a right. after we did the switch we test drove it again same thing . so we called tech support to find out what gives. apperently we received shocks for an 05 jeep liberty that are set at a different angle then the ones for the dak. so back they went and waiting for the correct shocks again
Wow...Here's you (and us) all waiting, worrying and hoping for these babies to rock and that happens! Well, we'll see if they do with the "correct" ones. Keep us up to date.
www.rorsyoffroadsupply.com. he is about one mile from my house and he races baja buggies and ownes his own shop. so he can call these people direct . they are one of his sponsors.
wow dude that really sucks...yeah they better send the right ones to ya, hope it doesn't turn out that they messed up and they don't actually make shocks for our trucks...

well i just got word from bilstein. no shocks for our trucks until end of 07. according to the other web sites, they are selling the 04 shock as an 05. what we are gonna do is take my frt shock out and cut off the part we dont need and try and fab up something that will work. i went to dodge today and picked up a set of factory shocks for 160.00 for both just in case something goes wrong. but the other pic that looks like a fork at the bottom is exactly what our shocks look like. one piece.coil over. i was wrong.
I saw somewhere in my surfing for 06 Dakota parts some adapters that turn that strange fork design we have for front struts into a normal design so you could use other struts. Has anybody tried these? Wish I had a link but I don't, will have to search for it after work.
