We're all goverened @ 118.Stock dakotas wouldNOT see 130 if there wasn't a limiter, we'd need muchmore HP to overcome the brick wall aerodynamics and weight.
JUst be careful of the speeding. You must not be in an area that's overly populated. Where I live, you'd wear your brakes down faster than you use gas.
I'd like to know what the max speed is on our trucks, but I don't like the idea of killing myself or anyone else to do it.
the only time i top it out is on the highway. got out of work this morning.3.30 am and no one on the road just that state trooper. must have been takin a nap or something. but hit it again on a nice flat straight away.its nice having 4 lanes all by yourself.
118 seems like its high... the rest of the segment is 99 for base trucks. (I am sure some sport models are faster) but oh well, just another way these trucks differentiate themselves from the other mid size queens.
I got up to 95mph one time and it felt like it had quite a bit more power to push it up...but at 12:30 at night I decided to back down because the highway patrol loves to sit in their black and white cars with no lights on...and when an unsuspecting stupid teen like me comes along all like "dededuhhh!" they enjoy pulling us over....
110 hit the gov on mine...this was on i-10 in AZ where its practically flat at 5:00am with no cars. It freaked me out cause thats the first time i had ever hit it on a vehicle.
