Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's 10,000lbs. Ialso believethatclass IV hitchesare the highest rated aside from a 5th wheel.

you are correct, class IV are the highest rated, though, i checked online and it seems the actual weight varies by brand. Most brands recommend only 5,000-7,500 lbs w/out a weight distributing hitch, but up to 14,000 lbs with weight distributing hitch..

actually, i was wrong. there's a class V hitch out there. it's rated up to 12,000 lbs or 17,000 lbs with a weight distributing hitch.

Really? News to me. I thought it only went up to a class IV. I read something on my Raider that the hitch was good for up to 10,000lbs. Maybe it's just the brand they use. All I need to know is that I won't ever max it out with this truck.

ya, my 79 chevy wih a 350 had a class v on it, one tough looking hitch.
