Yeah, radar detectors catch way more people speeding/racing that have racing stripes than those who do not. Quite possibly one of the most idiotic statements I've ever heard. That's just me though lol.

umm... Last time I checked, race cars dont have "racing stripes"... I am looking for more of a muscular look for the truck. Seems like cops will look at those who are moving faster than traffic...
Klings, do you think 2 solid 6 inch lines 4 inches apart would be too much? 4 inches doesnt look that 16 inches total doesnt look that wide on our hoods...

Maybe go toa Ford dealership and measure the new GT500's decals for reference. They are spaced very closed together (like an inch, not four) but look very menacing. They've gotta be like 10 inches each I'd guess.

Yeah, My local ford dealers dont have any gt500's... I measured my grandpas chevelle SS and they were 6 inches wide, 1 1/2 inches apart... I would like to go a little wider, but I think 2 inches is far enough apart to distinguish the lines...

I could cut two 6 inch stripes right next to each other (prolly like an inch apart) , then when you get them you could cut them apart and line them up yourself? Else it would be a lot more money!

what about this... I am buying a roll of vinyl from the sign shop... it is 12 or 15 inches wide. (I dont remember) I could just roll it out along my bench and cut it with a straight edge and C clamps... Klings will you PM me, I want to see if this guy is tearing my face off for vinyl. I see it a bit cheaper on ebay, and I just want to know if its good stuff to use or not...

nah, I havent really thought much more about it... I am out of play money untill bills and such are taken care of... I have looked at a few of the older daks with stripes and they look good... but I dont see a good match for the side of the truck...
