Default Low $ Supercharger???

Please check out this site and let me know if anybody has ever tried this $400 1 PSI "supercharger".

http://www.autodirectsave.com/prod/C...SI_Boost/17960

I see no reason why it wouldn't work but that doesn't mean that it will.

oh my god. i need that. image all the boost. plz. all that is , is a muffin fan like you get at home depot wired into the intake tube. you would be better of getting a hair dryer an set it on the cool mode. it would be just as good.

Might as well glue a 120mm computer fan inbetween your air filter and intake tube, probably do about the same thing for all of 2 bucks.

There are variations of this piece of crap all over the internet(ever heard of the Turbonator?) Most offer this worthless garbage for under $65 and they have the nerve to charge $400? Do yourself a big favor and spend your $400 on a K&N or AirRaid CAI and a modified throttle body from: www.thefastman.com Trust me, this is money wisely spent.

I wouldn't even consider it. You'll be replacing it. Here's why:

1. They only work if you turn them on, unless you can find one that runs with the throttle. Otherwise, they restrict the amount of air flow going into the intake.

2. They haven't been able to make them where the fans and bearings will last long enough with the amount of RPMs that they require to make the 1psi.

3. From what I've been told, it messes up your air/fuel mix and you'd have to have your ECU flashed and tuned to run it right.

The only reason why I say this is because of the amount of research I've done onthem. I've talked to a couple of speed shops that told me that they suck for the most point.

OK, so I'll take all this as a definite NFW. I all ready have most of the mods with the exception of the cam change and I'm looking into that.

Thanks for the responses.
