New Exhaust
I got a 3.7L V6 Dodge Dakota club cab. I was wanting to add a aftermarket exhaust and a cold air intake. Any suggestions? on the exahust i dont want it LOUD but noticable . Wonder how many HP u can get with both of those?
my 01 v6 ram was loooooooouuuuuuuud.....you would think it was a v8...took it to the local shop that was reccomended by my friends and told him to do his thing and i wanted it loud....i know they werent flows....they were actually his own that he manufactured...couldnt tell though, quality was great....and it was cheap....when a bracket broke when i was offroading (2x4, non mud or a/t tires....just reg street tires) or should i say trying to, i got submergedin mud and stuck in deep ruts...one of the pipes must have hit the side of the rut and it snaped the v bracket which held it in place (luckilly the pipe didnt dent or bend or crack)....took it to him and he welded me up a new bracket in less than 5 mins for free......dont know how i just got off on a tangent here, its a simple question...you want a nice rumble without it being too loud right? probally flows 40 series
If your going for the sound alone, you can simply get yourself a flowmaster 40, remove your own muffler from the axle back point, and either yourself, or have a shop make a duplicate setup with the new muffler. This way, your can bolt it right back on like stock, it will look stock, but you will have the sound.
Yeah I have the same set up 2006 3.7L V6 club cab and I want to do exhaust and Cold Air intake...I've been looking into a K&N 63 series...but I haven't found one for the V6 yet....
What do you mean you haven't found one for the V6 yet? Here is a link to one from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...spagenameZWD1V
The part number for the 4.7L is 63-1546 and the part number for the 3.7L is 63-1547. Hope that helps you a little.

Hey guys i have a CC 3.7, and what i did was go to a local shop and had them cut out the two resonators, take out the the huge can muffler, weld in 2.5 inch pipe and they put on a Flowmaster Super 40 muffler and it sounds decent. The sound improves dramatically the more carbon gets in it. It cost me about 200 bucks, if you know how to weld, you can save yourself a ton of money buy just getting some straight pipe adn doing it yourself, and if your looking for a really cheap way to do it you can always clamp everything together, but i don't recommend it.
