Default Level kit, which one? Please Help!

I'm about to order and looking for the best possible level kit. My 2 choices are the TRUXX kit @ http://www.truxxx.com/dodge_products...a_lift_kit.htm

Or the TRAIL MASTER kit @ http://www.trailmastersuspension.com/

Which one would you choose, which one is suppose to be the most reliable? Price is fairly the same.

Thanks

Well, the truxxx kit could possibly break a front axle if you do any serious off roading. I don't think I believe that very much but that's what they say. I think when I get ready to do mine I will do this kit. If something breaks I will switch it back out to stock and send it in for warranty work. I have a very long warranty on mine though so that helps.

Everyone that gets the Trailmasters kit are all saying that they are getting noise from it and I personally can't stand noises like popping and creaking from my truck. So much so that I would rather riskbreaking an axle with the other kit!

No noise on mine though. I cant tell a ride difference at all. I guess I can imagine it being a little stiffer but not really. Mine is great I vote the Trailmaster kit. $200 plus for a 2 inch leveler from "truxxx"? Cmon thats robbery. When you can lift a CJ all the way around 2 or 3 inches for under $50 lol I cannot see paying over 200 for a leveler. The Trailmaster can be had for like 85 bucks and spacers like the ones in the kit for a small 2" lift have proven strong and reliable over and over again on many applications.

I forgot to add, no alignment is needed with the trailmaster kit. After I put mine in, the shop said it was fine.

Make sure you download the new instructions for the Trailmaster kit from thier website, it is a totally different install and the kit (mine did anyway and it was dated 2/17/07 on the box) will come with bolts you don't need. I calledand Truxx and spoke with them about thier kit and THEY did not recommend it for any 4wd situation other than light duty ie ice/snow. I am having the shop that did mine replace the shocks and redo mine on Tuesday, I will report the outcome.

$135 installed is a smokin deal, my kit cost $80 and 1.5 hours labor to install @ $70hr, plus they checked it and it needed alignment $50.

The biggest question here is how many of the trailmaster kits are installed above the shock mount (the discontinued method of Trailmaster essentially making it just like the truxx version) vs preloading the spring like the new instructions show.

I think TM is acting irresponsiblydiscontinuing the old ones but shipping the new spacers with old instructions and bolt kit they discontinued it for a reason (whatever that may be).

I am determined to get the TM kit installed properly and give it a fair evaluation, as it is the same type as used on the toyota's and there are thousands of those out there...

Thanks,
LB

Thanks, I know my friend told me that I was getting the new version as they are presently manufacturing them and will be back order for a month or so before they ship the new ones.

Didn't care much about the waiting period anyway. He got the new install instruction on email from TM.
