Default My Trailmaster 2" kit problems fixed!!!

Hi All,
Just an FYI update on my expercience with a Trailmaster 2" leveling kit that preloads the springs. (See previous post on problems I had) I purchased 2 new struts from Dodge along with the 2 washers that go on the strut before it gets bolted to the top plate. I had these installed and made sure the Tech was competent, and all of my noise problems went away, it is as tight as it was before the first install, the ride height is perfect and I love it.

Those of you with the preload setup and have noise and clunking issues, grab the top of the front tire and tug on it outward trying to rock it. This loads the suspension, while doing this look at the top of the shock strut, if it moves up and down seperate from the mount, it is loose and needs to be tightened. My installer actually dropped the shock and the washer that goes on the shaft fell off (see page 5 (I think) on TM install directions)causing one of mine to be REALLY loose.

Sorry for the long post, but maybe this can help others with problems.

Now I just need to get tires for my 07 chrome RAM 20" wheels!!!

Thanks,
LB

Here are some pics before and after (not great with shadows, but I will get more!).

Also a pic of my 07 chrome ram 20's. I am still deciding on 265/50/20 (almost exact diminsions of the original 16", or 285/50/20 which are about 3/4" taller and 3/4" wider. I also think the silver painted 20" ram whels would look better with the silver color, but my friend thinks the chrome matches the Lamarie chrome. I would trade for silver if the oppertunity arises. Also trying to sell the 275/60 tires, they have 8 miles on them.
