Hmm I was serious in starting this thread as I was kind of interested in trading my ram in for a Dakotabut whatever.

 

in all seriousness, to make a dakota fast, like..truely faster, you need to drop a HEMI in it. I talked to the service guy at my dealer because I'm thinking about doing it. Also I've heard of boring out our engines to bigger sizes for an increase in power.

 

I just figured a 4.7 with bolt ons perhaps cam and heads would be low 14's high 13's. How much do the gen 3's weigh? I still think a dakota r/t with the 5.7 would be an amazing truck. If you plan to swap a motor in save a few extra pennies and toss a 6.1 in there. I think dodge should replace the srt10 with an srt8 dakota....it would be faster atleast even though not a full size.

Frenchy with my twin Tornados and twin TB spacers it's like I'm turbocharged, I'd smoke ya!,,,,,,,,,,Motorider try to hold out for the 08s suppose to come with the new 290 hp 4.7, I might have to trade up.
