I have yet to get to the track... I dont think I will run the dak anyway... I just sold my snap on tool box and Impacts... I am thinking that ford racing will be getting an order for the GT sport package... It adds 40 hors and roughly the same tourqe. Its only 1 more week until drop day for the new stang... like waiting for christmas... for a whole year lol

About the Tundras, they have the same exact size V8 in their trucks (4.7L), but they come with 282 HP at the crank. Next years model for the Dakota will be a whopping 290hp at the crank. Dodge has underpowered these trucks for a very long time with this engine. They also shortened the 5.2L power ratings by far too much. they should have been closer to the 300hp mark.
I don't like the Titan. It's too big and bulky. I actually had thought about the Titan at one point when they first came out.

When the 08 dakota comes out I might look into seeing if I could get the new 4.7L V8 installed in my 05. That would be a good foundation for building a fast dakota. But with gas prices what they are and diesel prices here in Pa are lower than gas I am hoping Dodge puts a diesel engine in the 2010 model Dakota Like I have heard they might do. I would trade my 05 for a diesel dakota on the spot.
