yeah, i use Rain-X...doesn't really do a whole lot. and it's still soooooo early in the season....it's just gonna get worse. bugs are probably the one and only thing i hate about summer.

do the bug guards above the grill make any difference?

they're a bit expensive on www.mopar.com, though...hmmm...might have to look into it further.

yeah, you can get black ones quite a bit cheaper at a lot of different places...autozone, autoanything, etc...but the mopar one that i like is the chrome one....i think that looks better on the truck...just runs a good bit more....$140 on mopar.com.

ok problem with my paint job on my truck, goes along with this thread so i thought id ask it, when i washed the truck this weekend i went to drive it and found that there was a rough texture, like a sap or something on the door, only on the drivers door, everywhere else is fine, any idea how to get it off, i tried waxing it with 2 different cleanre waxes and a regular wax, and i tried taking it off with some paint thinner, and none of it worked, any help would be appreciated thanks

hmmm...thanks, Drew, for the info. The chrome one that I want is $150 (unless I can find a cheaper listing on ebay). From what you're saying, I'm not really sure if it's worth it, unless I can find that cheaper one.

i forgot how much mine was, but it was definately NOT 150....i believe i paid 120 maybe 140 for my bug guard AND my rain guards (for the windows)....if u get the guards for the windows, make sure they are "in-channel" ones and not the ones that stick on with double sided tape. as for the bug guard, or w.e u want to call it, the one for my ram was "in-channel" meaning it was held on by having a piece that stuck between the grill and hood, ie-no tape....i have only found ones held on with take for our trucks, if u can find an inchannel one for our dakotas, please, post a pic on here
