Default The 2011 Dodge Durango is official!

Announced this morning...

Dodge announced this morning that the 2011 Durango is official and they went so far as to refer to it as a "performance SUV"...maybe an SRT8 variant coming?

I can not wait to see one on the street. A 6.1 or a 6.4 liter may usher Dodge into a solvent corporation,

That pic is not it. That was a speculative concept rendering from 18 months ago. There are no full official pics exist yet.

I hate to scrap the one I've got but if there is a huge improvement then I guess I'll trade it in on a new one.

I'll definitely be picking one up, the only concern I would have is how much interior room is there compared to the 2nd Gen? While I don't need an Expedition or a Suburban, interior room is pretty important for my work and if the '11s are built more like a crossover inside then I may have to refrain, but I hope not.

from what im understanding the new 2011 is going to be based on the jeep grand cherokee chassis, and will be a bit smaller then the current model durango. also it will have a pentastar 3.6 ltr v6 motor, with the hemi as an option. with it also being a 4x2. i also have read that the 2011/2012 model might also drop the durango name and be called magnum instead. hmmm...

here is a spy photo...

for some more inside line go here.... http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...ge-magnum.html
