I would rather listen to a 'loseless' CD than a compressed version at maybe 192 kbps,

Oh, the DVD and the CD are intergrated? My wife's Suburban is that way and it does make it easier as you do not have to get out of the vehicle to access the DVD console. I think I can listen to a CD while my daughters watch a DVd in my 2007 as long as they are wearing the headphones,

Yeah... it sucks. I haven't gotten that far yet. I haven't even put the batteries in the headphones lol. I will test out soon, but as long as i can hear some music while she watches her movies, i'll be ok.

I don’t think loading a cd in the HD is compressed much; it took a good half hour to load a Lennon cd. I forgot to check the difference in memory capacity, but there was definitely no loss in sound quality to my ears. Also, on the 730N you can split the screen in the back, having a DVD on ch 1 Sat TV on ch2 and listening to radio, HD, AUX input or whatever up front. The headphones have selectable channels and so does the remote for controlling each side of the screen.

Just tested the headphones .... it does let the listener choose between dvd/cd or radio or hdd. Guess that will do.

Wait, so the truck is supposed to come with headphones and a remote control? Are these items optional or are they included? How do you download moves to the hard drive, I tried to upload movies but they couldnt be detected on the USB. Is there a trick?
