IPod and Mediacenter 430?
Anyone know how to connect your Ipod to your Mediacenter 430 and play music from your Ipod? I connect it using the ipod usb cord and the Aux light did not turn on on the touch screen. This was using my new ipod touch so I tried it with my older ipod. When I used that ipod the aux light came on but nothing else happened. It would not allow me to access songs or play anything off the ipod. It allowed the ipods to charge but did not play anything off of them.
try resetting your ipod
we run into this on occasion with all our Corvette customers we deal with. I have had 3 or 4 Ipod kit installs where it would play my itouch fine but not the customers.
So we did a Google search on how to reset the ipod and that works everytime.

I just bought the 2011 Durango and my iPhone will not sync when connected via USB in center console. Sees it and says reading but then get an error. Anyone know if this a dodge issue or iPhone issue? Bluetooth synch to phone but playing music through Bluetooth is never that good of quality plus playback is like on fast forward.
I have a XOOM and used the bluetooth connect option and it worked great. Can control what music plays from the XOOM or console the only issue is the console does not seem to display the song titles, artist, etc.
to use your ipod, you have to plug it into the usb input in the center armrest usb (the glowing one in the armrest storage top drawer).

I know you have to plug it into the armrest USB, but I get an error. It is a UConnect and iPhone 4 issue. Spoke to Dodge Customer Care and they are supposed to be releaseing an update soon for the Media Center 430 (RBZ), which is what came in my Durango. You will need to get the update at your local Dodge Dealership.
Maybe if you pay for the disk...I spoke to local dealership and they told me it would be like $30 for them to get the disk and I said there was no way I'm paying for a disk that fixes a known issue with a brand new vehicle. They told me then I couldn't keep the disk, big deal, why would I want to?? Turns out it was the wrong disk for a different model of media center anyways and the update for mine hasn't been released yet....good thing I didnt pay for it.
