2011 Durango factory alarm issue
Got a scheduled appointment Wednesday morning to bring the D for this alarm issue. My service rep called me last week and told me to bring the D coz' there is a TSB that just came out, not sure if its going to be a software update or to replace the module. I will update you folks on this issue.

Gotta luv it! lucky to have him second time around, knew him when he was working as a service rep for a Nissan dealership several years ago when I had and bring in my Nissan Xterra for service.....he made sure that my service maintenance or problems with the vehicle are taken care of and customer is satisfied.

I have my new 2011 Durango and the alarm is going off randomly day and night (3 times and number 4 next sentence).
I travel quite a bit and I had the battery go dead (guessing from alarm) when I returned at 11:30pm while raining not much fun.
Not happy or impressed that there is a solution and the dealer did not do this before I took delivery. I have to leave my car unlocked until this is fixed. Glad this forum had the listing vs. my dealer trying to find the issue. Thanks !

My 2011 citadel's alarm went off at 4am last night for no reason--second time in 6 months. I'm beginning to suspect something is wrong with the software, etc. I'm looking for some kind of answers here on the forum. Anybody have any solutions?
If you park on any steep inclines, the tilt sensor can set the alarm off in light wind conditions since the slightest additional movement will trigger it. My driveway is fairly steep and if we park just outside of our garage where the angle is steepest, the alarm can/has gone off randomly.
If you are just parking on level ground then the above mentioned TSB should solve your issue.

There is a service bulletin that may help you with this issue. It involves a software flash. See post #13 above.
