Default Looking into purchasing an R/T

I am looking into purchasing an R/T AWD. I am just concerned with Dodge. I currently own an 06 Ram and the way the interior stands up is a joke. Is there anyone that can give any feedback on the new interiors. I have take an look at these and have my doughts. I test drove one Durango and a small piece of the steering wheel pad tore off. Also any other issues that Gen 3 owners are having i would love to hear about it. I have looked over these along with the competitors and it is a toss between the Explorer and The D'. To me it handled better that any of the others.

We have a Stone White R/T with the leather interior group option
to me the interior is one of the best things about the car. The quality looks to be very very good on the leather used. The appearance is amazing as well.

Well I have previously owned/driven European and Japanese import, since after seeing the new D at an auto show early this year it converted me coz' Dodge made a tremendous improvement in the quality of the materials....no cheap hard plastics as with previous years of Dodge/Chrysler products, the layout of the instrument/radio/gauges are outstanding imho. I was actually going to buy a 2011 Acura MDX but after seeing and test driving the new Durango I didn't blink twice the new D won me over and 10k cheaper than the MDX.

As am I. I have a BMW 5-series and a Toyota solara and during the time of looking for an SUV I kept telling myself i was not getting an American car. I looked at the Audi Q7 and the Mercedes GL 550 and for a difference of $20k and $30k for almost the same features, the Durango Citadel won me over. It drives well with similar luxury and capabilities as the Audi and Mercedes. Only downside for me is that the second row does not have rails to adjust how far front or back the 2nd row can go. some pics

The second row issue had come up to me also from my wife. However it deos surpass the competition with head room. I am a tall guy and this is the only SUV that I don't hit my head. I see in the photo's posted a citadel at a gas station that reminds me. I would like to know what gas lilacs D owners are actually seeing on the V8 &V6 versions. Thanks in advance.

I never thought I own a Dodge...until recently. I currently own a 2009 Ram and 2011 R/T Durango. The interior in both is outstanding IMO. I really like the feel of the leather in the R/T and it looks great with the red stitching. You know if you want the R/T it's only available wiyth a Hemi...I too am seeing 15/18+. A long highway trip with cruise control on 75 will def get around 20 mpg.

Two weeks ago I went through a similar situation with the Explorer and Durango. (and the rest in this class) IMO the Durango drove much better, has a better seating position and just feels more solid than the others. Another plus for me is the rear drive biased AWD and the Ford is having some serious issues with it's SYNC. I was so impressed by the Durango last week I traded in my Range Rover and bought a Grand Cherokee Overland. MotorTrend has a good article about "Three-Row Crossover SUV's where the Durango took second...only because of the five speed, something I can live with.

My only disappointment is the chrome wheels and the fact that they are a chrome clad. But that is an easy fix.

My V6 Heat gets 22-23 city and 25 on long trips on the highway... It averages about 1-2 mpg less than the dash fuel economy calculates it out when I do it on pen and paper.
