Not sure if ECE is needed for the low beams.....possible. but certainly not needed for fog lights. My RT came with lows HIDs, so can't comment on the ECE.

The harness that came with the HID kit does not fit into the D harness, and it only goes in one way....therefore I had to trim the ddm piece to make it fit. Or u can hardwire it. (black wire on D goes w black wire on DDM, white wire on D goes w blue wire on DDM)

Did you trim the clip(s) on ddm harness? With a knife? You have H16 bulbs for the fogs?

Yes......H16 bulbs for fog lights. I trimmed 2 tabs on the DDM harness that goes into the fog light housing with a razor blade (be careful). You will see it once you get the kit. I ended up hard-wiring it b/c I thought the ECE was needed for the fogs, therefore, I wire the DDM kit directly to the D (this was before taking off the ECE lol).....but now it works flawlessly.

For those of you who have stock HID headlamps, I would recommend 4000k HID for the fog lights IF you want it to match up better. The 5000k I have for the fog lights has more of a bluish tint to it over the OEM HID. I like the look of it, so it didn't bother me. Just a heads up........

Wish someone would do this to a D without HIDs to see if the ECE is needed for the low beams lol. I want to order it but dont want to order ECEs and not need them or not order them to save myself some cash and need them... Tough call lol

I will be doing it as soon as my ddm kit shows up. I plan to take pics and do a write up if needed.

So I am reading more and more on this topic as it is getting near me getting ready to do this mod and it appears that I need more hardware than I thought for the Low Beams. It appears the Fogs are an easy install. Just replace the bulbs mount the ballasts and your there... But according to this forum which I know is a Dodge Ram Forum but has relevant info. I will need some sort of ECE for the low beams along with the harness...

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...k-in-here.html

What are your guys thoughts? Should I just get the Kits for the fogs without the ECE and get harnesses for both kits as well as an ECE for the lows or what? Help is appreciated and after I install I will post a DIY for both the fogs and lows... Hopefully...
