Default Durango 5.7 360HP , RAM 390HP?

Where are the additional 30 horses coming from on the RAM versus the Durango? Is it software? I want the extra 30 HP if possible.

I'd like those 30 hp too. I do know the Ram has a much larger air filter (1.56"x13.75"x9.3") compared to the Durango's (1.25"x9.62"x8.87").

I have not confirmed this, but somebody on another forum told me that the 30 HP was lost because of the smaller/lower intake manifold they had to use to fit the motor in the Durango.

I though it would be to the variable valve timing. Go to Inertia Motorsports if you want extra power in the 5.7 Hemi. I have a set of their ported heads with JBA exhaust headers that make an easy 50 + horsepower over stock,

if it's just the intake manifold and tuning there is room to grow which is nice! Any word on a decent tuner being available?

Well let's just add the 370HP Charger to the mix. So we have 360, 370, and 390HP versions of the 5.7 Hemi. Someone knows what the differences are!? What gives?

Uh.....you forgot the Challenger.......375 HP.....and the 2500 & 3500 Rams running 383 HP.

So, now it is 360, 370, 375, 383, and 390 H.P. versions of the 5.7 Hemi.

Awesome! Maybe the tune and intake air volume? My guess is the motor internals are the same. Someone knows, Dodge Cares?

The intake manifolds are very different between the Durango and 1500.

The Challenger and the Durango V8's intake manifolds look exactly alike from the outside.
