Default Citadel Tires

I've seen a few threads mention Kumho tires- but on R/T's.

It seems I'm running on Goodyear Fortera HL's. Smooth and quiet, solid in rain.

What tires did you guys get with your Citadel?

I got the GY Fortera HL...yes its smooth & quiet. The true test will be this coming winter when the snow is in the ground.

I think Fortera's are standard on the 20" wheels. Supposed to be a very good solid all around tire. I would take these over any Kumho any day.

The Fortera's are some of the worst rated tires out there. Winter won't be here soon enough so I can put on my ice & snow shoes and get rid of the POS Fortera's.

If you look on Tire rack the Fortera is rated pretty average. It's no Pilot Sport, but it's a well made tire. I have a childhood friend who's been in the tire business for over 30 years. He sells Kumho because people want them, but he won't sell them to me.

Can you provide any links to these ratings you're speaking of? Or is this purely your opinion?

While they may not be top of the line. They are very very good tires. Much better than some I've been on.

"tirerack.com" they are rated pretty good. Not the best, and not the worst.

And while if you live in the far north, a good set of snow tires for the winter may be warranted, in most parts of the country where the roads are cleared fairly quickly, the Fortera (or any other M&S tire) on a 4x4 like the Durango will get you just about anywhere you need to go.

Personal opinion (have them on both my Jeep and Durango) and ratings on Tirerack.com

I have the continental tires on my R/T smooth and quiet. If the vehicle sets for 2the weeks or so they have a vibration for a few miles possible due to the soft compound. I don't expect to get many miles out of them, but they do grip!
