The Fortera's are some of the worst rated tires out there. Winter won't be here soon enough so I can put on my ice & snow shoes and get rid of the POS Fortera's.
If you look on Tire rack the Fortera is rated pretty average. It's no Pilot Sport, but it's a well made tire. I have a childhood friend who's been in the tire business for over 30 years. He sells Kumho because people want them, but he won't sell them to me.

Can you provide any links to these ratings you're speaking of? Or is this purely your opinion?
While they may not be top of the line. They are very very good tires. Much better than some I've been on.

And while if you live in the far north, a good set of snow tires for the winter may be warranted, in most parts of the country where the roads are cleared fairly quickly, the Fortera (or any other M&S tire) on a 4x4 like the Durango will get you just about anywhere you need to go.
I have the continental tires on my R/T smooth and quiet. If the vehicle sets for 2the weeks or so they have a vibration for a few miles possible due to the soft compound. I don't expect to get many miles out of them, but they do grip!
