Previous vehicle had an aftermarket Sony overhead DVD installed before I traded it in I took the headphones since I'm going to need it in my D. These Sony branded headphones do work with the Durango's DVD unit.

Are you saying they are automatically on the same frequency/channel, or was there something you had to do with them to create the sync?

When I have more kids in the car I just put the DVD audio into the whole car and grit my teeth. :-)

At first really didn't know if the Sony headphones will work on the Durango's DVD system...was planning to sell them. Just for curiosity one day turned on the DVD then turned on the Sony headphones and got sound from it and its clear too....didn't do anything special with the Sony headphones to sync just turned it on and it worked.

Good to know, because I'll bet you can buy other aftermarket ones for a lot less than the $80 I saw OEM units for. And I'm just waiting for these to break the way my kids throw them around...

Latest update: well finally got my full Sirius service package working this morning also since the dealership screwed this up they changed the in service date instead of ending in April 2012 my free subscription will now expire in October 2012 . Kudos to my Dodge case manager contact (Megan) for pursuing/following up with my dealership!
