Frustration w/my Sirius Sat Service
Found out this morning my Sirius Sat radio service expired....one of the selling point on this new 3rd Gen Durango is the 1 year free subscription on Sirius while other car manufacturers were only giving 3 months. I bought my vehicle a few months ago (April) and my Sirius sat subscription service service should end in April 2012. I called my dealership several times and the last conversation they told they would fix it and straighten it out but guess what that didn't panned out. So I called Dodge Customer service (2nd time on this issue) talked to a gal named Jennifer and told her on the issue, she called my dealership guess what she said the people down at the dealership was kind of rude and not so nice to her so she elevated my concern and provided me a case number...was told I'll be a getting a call from Dodge.
From my experience with Honda and Acura, I never had any problem no matter how big or small issues....the dealership and their customer service are outstanding and first class ensuring satisfaction to its customer and no BS.
Had to vent this morning so enough of my soap box.....has anybody here got similar issues with your Sirius satellite service on your new Durango? are you getting it for a year?

I had the same issue occur with my satellite radio expiring. I called Sirius directly and they straightened it out so that it continued for the full year. I would recommend you call Sirius directly instead of Dodge or the dealer.
No problems at all, however this is the 3rd vehicle that either my wife or I have purchased from this particular family of dealerships in 7 years. They are also one of the largest (in both numbers of locations and volume of sales) for all makes in the Washington D.C. region.
Two days after I got mine, I called Sirius to "start my free trial" I acted like I was clueless about it working already and just said it was free for 1 year per the purchase.
They took my details and started my free year that day. They said it would have expired in early 2012 had I not called.
I suggest calling Sirius.

When you are a monopoly, customer service is the first thing to go.

UPDATE....well after talking to 3 different Sirius customer service reps wasting a couple of hours on the phone with the last one saying my service is back and reactivated, checked it out still don't have my service back. It only shows the preview channel 184....so on tomorrow to my dealership to raise some stink!
Latest: This morning going to work my Sirius radio was still showing the preview channel. Lunch time on the way to the dealership for some other issue my Sirius radio suddenly has all the channels but only the radio and back seat TV still have call them to turn on my Travel Link service and Real Traffic. Also got a call from Dodge corporate but missed it, they left a message to call them back must be something to do to straighten out my Sirius service.
Just got done talking to Dodge corporate since the radio part is now working but told them that the Travel Link service and real time traffic is still turned off and I want those service re-activated. Told her part of the deal when you buy a new Durango the Sirius sat radio/Traffic/back seat TV/Travel link service is provided free for a year as advertised as well as in the brochure and I don't want to accept a half @$$ service. Dodge corporate will look into the issue and expect a call back within 2 business days

At least you are making some headway, too bad you still have go through the hassle. I need to pick up some extra headphones for the back, a lot of venders on eBay sell them and a few on Amazon. Right now it doesn't help if 2 kids have them and the rest don't.
