Default DD R/T problems

Interesting read, but have to say that my Durango (mine's a Crew w/ V-6) is one of the best vehicles I have owned. I only have 3300 miles on it, but has been flawless in all regards with none of the issues described in this thread. Good luck JCO on the resolution of your R/T's problems - nothing worse than having issues with a new vehicle. I went through that with a Pontiac 6000 years ago.

^Ditto. Other than adjusting a door at delivery and the quirkiness of the settings (radio presets) on SAT radio being lost every week or so, the Citadel has been great. We have almost 2500 miles and no other issues.

I have no problem with the chrome clad wheels...doesn't matter to me. I do think the felt(?) covering in the wheel wells is kinda cheap and a bit flimsy in the rear wheel area -- we'll see how that holds up in the snow and ice.

Hopefully, you will get the issues sorted and have many trouble-free miles.

Wouldn't happen to be the passenger rear door?

Driver's door. Just not aligned properly at the bottom where it meets rear door...wasn't flush with rear door. I think the fit-and-finish overall is pretty good but it could be better. My Touareg has a great fit-and-finish.

It didn't leave the assembly with a door out of alignment. It isn't possible. I personally stood in front of the measurement robots and watched the laser measure EVERYTHING on the truck. Per VIN, they can tell exactly where all the items are places (doors, etc.) to less than a millimeter.

Once it left the plant it could have been in a bump, a Toledo issue, a dealer faux pas, who knows. I know it just didn't leave the assembly line off kilter. It simply isn't possible.

Ok. I believe you. I do think the fit-and-finish is pretty good. It was one of the things we noticed, especially with the interior, when we were shopping around. We are indeed impressed. Otherwise, no issues and it's a great ride...I only get to drive it on the weekends pretty much and I enjoy it as much as my Touareg.

The passenger rear door on my R/T was (is) out of adjustment at delivery. There was a gap at the bottom rear where it meets the rear quarter panel. The dealer tried to adjust it, but said that's the way they are (kinda like my crooked exhaust tips).

I would say fit and finish on mine is a little better than my old Trailblazer, but miles behind my Volkswagen.

I got to drive a crew a few weeks back, quite the nice unit dodge put together. Only problem is it is to nice, I like the feel of driving a truck like the 1st gen provides, my opinion. BTW it is normal to have little quirky things go wrong with a first model year, I would wait 2yrs or so after dodge has compiled all the real world data and fixes it IMO.

this vehicle is a "Durango" in name only man.... 1st Gen is a true truck, the 2nd the same but a little softer, the third gen???? it's a rwd CUV lol... i love it, don't need the brutish truck, i would've kept my Yukon Denali.

My gf just bought a Crew v-6. She's had a couple problems with it but overall it seems like a great vehicle. Her seal in her sunroof has been bad twice now, but they got it fixed this time around thus far. There is a squeak in the second row seating area in the headliner probably from where they had to replace the seals. We've taken it on a couple different road trips and I love it. The UConnect does seem to not like my iPhone 4...but its probably just a software thing or it could be my iPhone as I have issues with it wanting to stay connected in my 2011 Jetta.

Stuff happens with first year model vehicles. Got to expect it.
