Default Help Fast!

PLEASE HELP!!!

So I installed the amp got everything hidden and when I went to turn the car on it wouldn't start. All the accesories work i.e. power lift gate, seats, lights. Just no start, it says push pedal and start etc with off in the bottom right corner of screen and then a steady red light in center of panel.

It's obviously alarm related what can I do to get it out of lockout mode or whatever it is to start driving again?

Not sure if 'll be around the comp so if you know the answer a quick txt would be appreciated 402-320-8585

The very first thing I would do is disconnect the power cable from the battery, wait a few seconds, reconnect it. That will probably clear the problem. Then, once it's going again, try to figure out what happened.

i thought someone posted about a wire back in the amp/sub area that came loose or disconnected and the car wouldn't start, check that out.

Did you grab the wires at the factory amp for the signal? Double check that the plugs are both inserted into the amp and that they cliped in. If they are unplugged slightly it may be tripping something with the canbus system. ideally there is enough room at the factory amp that you dont need to unplug them.

worse case... take it all out make it look stock and never let the dealer know you did anything and have it towed in.

I hacked into the flashlight cable for my remote wire and the 2 front speakers for my hi lo converter.

During the install I did unhook one of the clips to the amp and another member suggested looking there, I got really excited ah of course that's but nothing!!!!

When i open the door nothing happen but when I engage a light or something electrical the dash screen says push brake pedal and push start along with a steady red light, when the text goes away the red light stays on for another 10 secs or so than goes off. And than nothing is on anymore.

Tried jump starting and have since completely refurbished my car back to normal!!

Possible your wiring was bad and you tripped/blew a fuse?

Lesson from all this and everyone reading this thread: don't touch **** unless you are a trained professional or you don't know how to fix it if you break it. I would suggest calling a tow truck, taking the hit to your self-esteem and take it to the dealership.
