I think ......and this is just my .02 but the correct installation of the car seat is the first most important part. I have a Britax Boulevard 70cs and I remember that it had the feature of being able to slide the seat in its cradle back and forth.....what exactly this was for I have no idea because the instructions indicated that once front facing that the seat had to be in the up right position. I do recline the seat a little so my daughters head isn't hanging forward when she falls asleep in it but I just got back from a trip with my wife and she wanted to drivemy car for a bit......I thought I was going to be in trouble being I'm 6'3" witha 32" inseam and my wife is 5'4" well turns out I didn't have to push the seat back and I was very comfortable that Ifell asleep almost all the way home.

The seat is being secured by the seat belt, rear tie down anchor, and the seat anchors. I was told just recently by the dealership mechanic the the seatbelt is not necessary when you have the other 2. I don't think the additional seat belt will do any wrong but that is just my opinion.

Is that seat installed with the LATCH anchors or the shoulder belt?

Depends on seat. We have convertible seat now and latch anchors are all that is used. Factory seat belt sits as if not in use. I highly suggest you call your county fire department and ask if they have a safety inspection place that shows you how to set it up. Here in GA, we have a county "safety village" location and they literally install your seat for you and make sure it is set up perfectly. .all free

Babies r us and buy buy baby both will help you install the seats as well. Everyone in my family (including in laws side ) come to me to install their seats for the kids. I kinda hate it cuz I'm a tall big guy and some of these little cars aren't meant for me to be contoured in to secure the seats in. I had gone initially to my local fire house to get the same info for my infant car seat and no one was there, well right next door is the police department and one of the cops there wound up showing me what he learned from the fireman. It has all to do with the pressure you put down on the seat when tightening the straps. He showed me to put my knee into the seat simultaneously when I'm about to pull and cinch down the seat anchors. Once you have that down pact everything else is a breeze. Most importantly get the seat saver if you value your seat.

I am a CPS certified technician/installer. The reason i ask is it looks like the latch anchors are tight. Good. It also looks like you've got the shoulder belt run through the belt path. As well. Use one or the other. Shoulder belt or latch anchors but not both.

In another time, I was also a CPS tech with the Safe Kids campaign. Do you guys still recommend the cut-to-length foam pool noodle for stuffing the gap rather than the rolled towel?
