Loading Pictures into 730N

I am having trouble loading jpeg pics to the display. When I plug in my thumb drive, the USB soft button is not active when I tell it to add pics. What am i doing wrong?

You plugging it into the radio or the center console? It only uploads from the radio.
Other then that I don't know, maybe try to reduce the file size.
