Does anyone known what the range is for the warnings? I have been getting low pressure now it's winter. I raised the pressure to 35 psi now. The door lists the max as 36.

My wife's Audi is no different. When the weather dipped here, both the car and the truck went off.

Don't knock the TPMS I found it annoying just as you have until the other night it was 11pm and I just merged onto parkway when the TPMS went off. The screen showed all four tires and the right rear pressure dropping pressure quite quickly. I pulled off first exit and pulled into lighted parking lot just as the pressure had 10 pounds left , within minutes it was at zero. If not for TPMS I would have been sitting on shoulder of dark highway changing a flat. Saved my ***... By the way whomever invented the spare tire holder should be shot. It took me longer to remove the spare from the holder than changing the tire.

This is a great example of the benefits of TPMS. And the opposite is just as relevant. When the TPMS goes off and you see that all tires are at a still good pressure, with one just a pound low, you need not do anything except fill at the next opportunity. The TPMS system on my last car didn't tell you which tire or what the actual pressures were. When that system went off, you had no choice but to pull over and examine your tires.

Do these things recalibrate themselves when you rotate tires? IE... will the front left that has now been moved to the rear left communicate correctly as the RL on the display?

Yes... When I had mine filled with Nitrogen, it only took a few minutes of driving tonshow the adjustment... Manual states even if you have TPMS on the spare it will pick that up as well.

I bought a full size spare and getting them rotated as we speak so I will know for sure very soon...

My normal daily driver is a '08 BMW 328xi and the TPMS in that does not even specify which tire is low, it just gives a general warning that you have a tire low on air. It is up to you to go check all of your tires to find the one that is low. It too gives the warning when the temps drop, but I usually keep them at the upper levels so so far it isn't much of an issue.
