I would also like to know if you can run the Citadel wheels without the chrome covers.
Also, does anyone know how hard it is to change the front grille if you wanted to swap out the chrome one?

I too would like to know what is under that "chrome".

We love the citadel but I wish it didn't have so much chrome. Thinking of painting them. Are there any companies offering different covers?

I looked into it and saw on a forum the Jeep GC uses same concept of Chrome clad wheels. The covers are attached using an adhesive, pretty much not going to come off the base wheel.

I too would like a citadel, but don't like chrome either. If I do go citadel route (instead of fully optioned crew) would try to get dealer to swap wheels, or if not an option, pick up a Crew or RT set on ebay/CL. I would also like to replace the citadel grille with a crew one. The mirrors and door handles I can live with.
Anyone know how easy/hard it is to replace the front grille?

Also, its odd to me that you can't get Xenons on a Crew as part of a technology package, could be bundled with the Blind Spot and Cross Path. Is adding OEM xenons to a Crew as simple as swapping housings? Anyone know?

Bummer. I've already seen people on ebay/craigs selling these "chrome" wheels and tires off durangos for $1000. For that, maybe I find somebody to paint some black onto mine. I don't know if it would look good completely painted.

We did go the citadel route, but only because I was looking for a good deal on a left over '11 and the pickings were getting slim. I asked to get them to swap rims but they wouldn't. I am going to also be keeping an eye out for a crew or rt set.

I was thinking Crew too and I had found one (a bit far away and not the color we wanted), but I don't regret the Citadel one bit. The xenon lights, cooled seats, adaptive cruise, and extra year of maintenance are nice. Also, the blind spot is nicely done. If you put on your turn signal to change, it will chime and mute the stereo if somebody is there. So basically I can "test" a lane change without having to take my eyes off straight ahead. If I put the turn signal on, and nothing happens, then I'll look myself and actually change.

If you guys are debating the citadel from all the chrome why not get an R/T? It has almost no chrome at all, has a lower stance, better exhaust, and looks much more aggressive from the painted grille and flared front valance.
