430N Shuts Off
My head unit has shut off mid song 4 times now within the last month while driving. I'm driving listening to Sirius and the thing just shuts off. Each time this happens, I hit the on switch and it takes a minute to boot back up and initialize. It sets itself to AM and I have to switch back to Sirius. When I'm back in Sirius its on some random preview station and I have to find my station again. The presets are still there, other than that it seems like a system reboot, best way to describe it.
It has happened while my ipod connected to the armrest and also while its out. I don't have anything else connected i.e. anything plugged into the power converter, cell phone charger nothing. I've never messed with anything electrical. Did not do an HID upgrade as of yet either.
Not sure what the issue is, electrical or what but without being able to re-produce it, I'm sure taking into the dealer right now won't yield much of a result. Any ideas? Thanks!

It's probably a loose IOD fuse. Fuses are not always properly seated from the factory. Open up the box and push down and properly seat all the fuses. The IOD fuse is in a sleeve, so that it can be disconnected but not lost. Yours is probably loose. IOD = Ignition Off Draw

). They give the vehicle a pretty good shake but nothing that should loosen fuses. I pulled over, popped the hood and pressed down on the fuses again, nothing. After getting frustrated, I just drove without the head unit. After a few minutes I heard the little click and its back up again. Happened on HHD this time. Pretty irritating, especially since the unit seems to be restarting even without the obvious black out. I've had to go back into Nav settings and turn of the irritating voice about five times since last post. Somethings loose! Keep everyone updated.....

I'll check the fuse when my wife gets home with it, but it happened again today she says. Lame.

I may have to take it in. Bumps seem to be the big issue. Today I drove over a rail crossing and the bump "knocked out" the audio. The previous issue over the bumps took the head unit out completely. Today the audio on all modes went mute while the display was still up. I tried everything until I finally shut off engine then restarted the D at a light.
