Default Remote Start Question

We just picked up an 11 Citadel a few weeks back and I've noticed some minor things that I would expect to happen don't. When you remote start the car in the cold the heat comes on, but not the heated seats or heated steering wheel. Also, the radio comes on. This is my first Dodge, so is this just a Dodge thing or does it have to be really cold out? I'm comparing it to my Silverado which turns on the defroster, heats the seats, and doesn't turn on the radio until you turn the key. Not complaining, just trying to understand my vehicle and the manual doesnt get to that level of detail.

Thanks in advance.

Im think that if you turn on the heated seats before shutting the vehicle off that when you start it they will come on but I'm not really sure. I have no use for heated seats or heated steering wheel since i live in FL and it never really gets cold enough here for all that lol

There is an option in the EVIC for comfort on remote start. Enamble this and the heated seats and steering wheel will be turned on when it is below 40 degrees. Love that feature!

Mine turns on the heated seats, steering wheel, rear defrost, radio and of course the fan for heat.

Ah 40 degrees thanks! I had the option on, but didn't realize that it was as low as 40. I saw one night when we started the car that the steering wheel and seat was on, but didn't know if it was a temp thing or that we had left it on before. This is my wife's vehicle, so I don't drive it that often.

Thanks for the help!

So, what's the degree for the summer to kick in the cooler features?

I believe it is 70 degrees.

Please note however that when parking in direct sunlight, the temperature sensor will heat up to a higher temp than the actual air temperature and although it may be in the 50s, the sensor will read 70 so when you remote start the vehicle it ends up blasting the AC and ventilated seats and the reverse is true for colder days, the sensor may read 45 with it only being in the 30s and instead of warm seats, wheel and heat, the D will have run and done nothing to make the interior more comfortable.
