A couple weeks ago I picked up my 2012 Citadel and realized that I have the 430 media center and NOT the 430N that I thought I was getting. I was playing with a Charger in the dealer show room assuming the radios were the same since they have an identical faceplate. Guess not.......

I think the hardware is the same and the only difference is that the 430N has the Nuvi Garmin Nav interface, where the 430 has some other interface. My 430 has the UConnect and Travel Link options etc that the 430N has.
I am not happy with the 430 interface. It is not nearly as intuituve as the Nuvi. The Nuvi allows you to rename a destination, where the one I have I am stuck with address or worse yet the GPS coordinates. My simple $150 protable Nuvi has a nearly identiacl interface to the 430N.

Is it possible to upgrade the software to get the 430N features on a 430? Is there a simple way to upgrade without buying a new $$$$$ unit?
