I agree all my real world rpm are in the range where it appears to have been made worse by this set up, all though i do not agree with this engine been suitable big mistake on my part just traded in a 07 300C for this and we are very dissapointed my 02 4.7 leaves this truck sitting still with little effort. i think we will hold on to it untill 2013 and do what we should have in the first place and get another hemi. with the new transmission..

If the trends continue, and Chrysler is already baked into this strategy, in a couple of years you won't be able to buy a hemi (except maybe in a much larger truck). Everything else is going to smaller, boosted engines matted to more advanced transmissions, the combination of which will provide more than adequate power.

Why would a simple re-gear not help with performance?

A gear swap for the front ring and pinion would be easy enough V6 3.06 to the Hemi's 3.47 as they are the same diff. But the rear would have to be a complete diff swap (the hemi comes with a larger set-up). There aren't any aftermarket r&p's for the '11+ D or Jeep GC that I can find. I've checked various companies even Euro sites (ZF). I'm currently trying to find a set to upgrade my Hemi's 3.47 to the 3.92-4.10 range as I do a good bit of towing and live in the Black Hills.
