Default Drivers Rear View mirror glare

An annoying glare is present in my drivers rear view mirror. It is the reflection of the chrome trim ring around the air vent to the left of the steering wheel. The reflection/glare is extreme enough to be a distraction to driving because it messes with depth perception. Is this a distraction to anybody else out there?

Though it looks nice, I don't like the glare from the vents & around the shifter/drink holder area.

I noticed it too shortly after i took mine home. I thought it was poor design to have it reflecting like that but i've grown to ignore it.

Yep I have that reflection annoying me as well. I have just gotten used to it. it sounds like tinting the front windows will help. I might also try putting a matte finish clear contact over them. I wish they were a brushed aluminium.

On a side note I was at the Dallas motorshow and most of the cars there were full of glossy plastic. It looks good for about 5minutes until its covered in dust and fingerprints. At least the durango is mostly covered in matte finishes.
