Default brand new dodge Durango 2012 breakdown

Recently I received a brand new dodge Durango 2012 last Thursday it is running only 940 Km

Yesterday while driving in the highway there was traffic so after pressing a brake the engine stoped then I was not able to start the engine again, I stuck on the way then I sent the vehicle to the dealer workshop
today they informed me that there is some loose wires
And I am disappointed

Anybody had this issue before ???

I haven't heard of too many issues with the new Durango as of yet. But it's not too uncommon for parts to be bad right "out of the box" and it's always possible to get a bad one or something that just wasn't done correctly at the factory and not caught. Bad/loose wires, bad connectors, bad solder joints are all possible and shouldn't cause any long term concerns. Often they just need a little heat or some road vibration to show their ugly head.

Now if your transmission decided to take a sh*t or something like that, then I'd be a bit concerned...

Actually I am from Saudi Arabia and the dealer here has a very bad heard Also most of the people here they are not satisfy with our dealer
I like the dodge and I was to buy a new ford explorer and I bay them some advance then I change my mind to dodge Durango
I am really worried if they couldn’t fix the problem and/ or to take them long time to fix my car back
Will see what will happen as they promises me to return the car back tomorrow

Sorry to hear about your issue. I have had no issues with my 2012 R/T and really hope the dealer takes care of you.

Only one issue thus far and its with the Adaptive Cruise control sensor. I took the Durango to the dealer and a few hours later it was fix only to have the same issue again 10 mins later. I bought it back to the dealer and its behaved so far.

The resolution was the sensor was loose and it have to be recalibrated twice.

It makes it hard when you are in a location with limited support. I know what you're saying. I correspond with a guy in Great Britain who has a Jeep Grand Cherokee, one dealer in a four hour radius of him and that dealer offers Jeep as a minor part of their floor plan. Their technicians are by reputation clueless as far as Jeep products.

Good luck tomorrow...

Check the main, larger/largest fuses for being properly seated/installed.

After 6 days of inspection and investigation the dealer informed me that they will order PCM " it is the computer for starting " and they will receive the parts on 6, Feb, 2012
That mean I purchased the car to keep it in their workshop more than the time which I have to enjoy having it

I feel very bad really to have this problem

Hopefully this will be a one time issue and you are able to enjoy your D for years to come. I know I would be pretty angry right now if I were you, but try to look on the bright side.

Only issue we had was bad wind noise from the passenger door at about 400 miles on the odometer. They put new weather stripping and it has been fine.
