Default Soon to be new Durango owner

Well I took the plunge today after toying with the idea for the last couple months. I put money down on a new '11 Crew Lux V6. The Durango really impressed me when I first saw it and sold me when I took one for a test drive on Friday. I have been away from American cars for quite some time and really was surprised with the Dodge. I was looking to step into a bigger SUV but didn't really want a land yacht like a Suburban or Expedition. I am coming from an '04 BMW X5 3.0i with the towing package and a few nice bells and whistles and needed something a bit bigger because the kids won't stop growing. I also wanted to keep the 6k lbs tow rating that the BMW had along with the MPG I had been getting out of the inline 6. I looked at the Yukon, Tahoe, and Explorer and none of them really did it for me. Nothing coming out of Asia really resonated with me either and the German stuff was no bigger than what I had already. The Durango just seemed to make sense and with the end of year savings and great financing my credit union was offering my payment is now a few bucks cheaper. Anyways I am looking forward to taking delivery on Tuesday and I am sure I will have a thousand questions. (Anyone have a good writeup on installing a Prodigy brake controller?) more questions to follow as I have several mods and retrofits in mind.

I was looking at the X5 prior to getting my Durango R/T also and for the price I just couldn't justify it when the R/T had all the same characteristics.

Congrats on the new D....same here I looked at other SUV and was close on pulling the trigger on a '11 Acura MDX but after seeing and test driving the Durango I was hooked. The MDX was a nice vehicle but the price tag was just a bit too high for me comparing both brand's options/equipment on top of the line model. Additionally the MDX V6 fuel economy wasn't that stellar.
