New Durango Owner
I just recently purchased a 2012 SXT AWD Durango in black. Just wanted to give some feedback for anyone looking to purchase. The vehicle has just under 1K on it now. I am very pleased with it. I traded in a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport, and decided with my dog and a baby on the way an SUV would better suit my needs. I also looked into/test drove the Toyota 4runner, Toyota Highlander, FJ Cruiser, Wrangler Unlimited, Jeep Cherokee, and Jeep Liberty. The Durango had everything I needed and had the most features for the value in my opinion. My biggest concern was how well the 3.6 would perform and overall I am happy with it. Has enough power for me and is getting very good gas mileage (20.6avg) which is nice since my Ram was averaging 13.5mpg. First fuel up in the Durango my computer showed 20.8mpg and I hand calculated 21.6. I am impressed with all the features that come with the base model of the Durango. The only options I have is the sunroof, roof rack and I had Katzkin leather installed. I am very happy with the leather, it turned out nice, notice in the photo below the seat heat control is located on the side of the seat rather than the dash. The Durango rides very well and has a lot of interior/cargo space especially with the third row down. I really didn't need a third row, but it is nice to have and is a good space for the dog. All in all I am very happy with the Durango thus far and only plan on adding the chrome mirrors and a bike mount to the top, maybe a remote start. Oh and I have a little 10" Kicker in the garage I might as well throw in. I posted a few pics below. In the past I have owned a 2009 Ram, 2010 Ram, 2010 Challenger, 2008 Nitro, and feel that Dodge just keeps getting better and better. By the way I did have the front windows tinted 15% and a brow added, a must on any vehicle I have..

Funny I sold an 09 Ram and bought a 2012 Durango! I went with the R/T and have been very pleased =...8k miles on it and so far so good. I did a custom exhaust (installed X-pipe and two high-flow mufflers) and dropped in a K&N filter in the stock airbox. It sounds good and rides great! Looking to do new wheels but havent found the perfect set just yet.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
