Default Playing Video-What Format?

Been having a hard time finding a format that the Media Center likes, have been burning DVD's left and right and cant seem to find a format that will play. For the life of me I could not tell you what the exact Media Center model number is, but D is a 2012 with the 40gig Media Center.

Has anyone had any luck burning DVD's and getting them to play, if so what format are you using. So far have tried AVI, MP4, and a few others with no luck.

Any help is appreciated.

the manual states it will only play regular DVD files, not AVI or MP4. I have not tried any yet, but when reading the manual that is what I recall seeing. I wonder if LockPick or another mod would allow for divx and other formats.

Unless it's an update the Lockpick or All gig's don't do anything with media formats. I have several burned discs that worked in my Ram but I couldn't tell you what the format is. I don't have them in my D since I need a new All gig(mine doesn't work on the RHR). I'm out of town for another week but when I home I'll find out what the format is.
