Power steering gear (entire PS unit) leaking fluid and needs replacing at 38,000 miles. I pay 25% and Chrysler pays the rest on a $800+ bill since it's just out of warranty.

Problems/issues:

- The infamous front bumper issue. Now cracks have developed on both sides.
- Periodic rubber streaking on interior of driver door window. I can live with it since I wash/ clean my DD weekly but still annoying.
- Driver door not aligned with driver front quarter panel and rear driver side passenger door.
- Both exterior mirror housing units cracked and splayed on top. Had both replaced under warranty only to have the same issue return again. WTF?
- Tail light housing units feel loose. I can move it with my finger. Not solid.
- Rear liftgate also not flush when closed.
- A few intermittent issues with the car not starting. Hasn't happened in about a year. Fingers crossed on this one...
- Had to have a transmission solenoid? replaced under warranty.
- The one LED over the driver interior door handle went out.

Comments/ notes:

Averaging 15 MPG which is what I expected in about 50/50 driving. I do love the Hemi power.

I changed all 16 plugs myself at 32k. Much easier than what many make it out to be and next time I'll wait a little longer since they looked fine when I pulled them.

I changed the cabin air filter at about 30k and it was way overdue. That thing looked pretty bad compared to other cars I have done. I'll do it yearly from now on.

Went to Mobil 1 synthetic 5w/20 using a Motorcraft filter.

THE question: Knowing what I know now, would I buy my DD again: NO.

Final thought: I just wish this car was as solid on the outside as it is on the inside.

Damn. You've had extremely bad luck or I've had extremely good luck.

None.

Comments:
Great vehicle, getting 22mpg gas (almost no traffic in Orlando, FL), super smooth ride.

I only wish it would have a bit stronger acceleration. 1st gear is just too long.

Would I buy it again? For sure.

Update: now at 27000 miles. No issues. Did have bulb in rear taillight replaced. Has been a great ride. Still have the free maintenance until August 2014.

Should have got the Hemi.
Mileage 18mpg, 70% city, 30% highway
Stereo sound is underwealming.
Outside mirrors don't adjust outward enough for my liking.

July 2012 - Durango Crew 5.7
Mileage - 105,000km or 65,625 miles

Dashboard Rattle from new to 30,000km. Fixed after repeated complaints and reading how to fix it post on this website. Sorted under warranty.
Replaced brake discs at 70,000km, warranty didn't cover that...ouch!
Winscreen washer pipe broke at 95,000km. Replaced under warranty.
Replaced all suspension bushes in front and rear at 100,000km service. Thankfully covered by the warranty.
Constant rattling from rear panels inside..

Other than these issues.. its been a relatively free hassle free 100,000km and I look forward to another 100,000km. Now I want machine face 22" viper reproduction rims.. and SRT8 brakes. The stock brakes have never really been up to the job.

Great all round car..

Cheers

Current mileage: 63000km

Problems/issues:
- Alternator - Replaced under warranty
- Rear Pads & Rotors
- Some minor issues when I first got it.

I love my D and it has been pretty much a problem free 3 years so far. I'm a little shocked that I had to replace rear pads & rotors so early, especially since I've still got about 40-50% of the fronts. This is the first vehicle I've ever owned (including a Grand Caravan, and Jeep Patriot) that I had to do brakes before the 100k mark and rears first to boot

Oh well, hopefully the after market parts will have a longer life.

Default 2012 Durango V6

The Good: Dealer Service has been great in Houston TX and in Gainsville FL(road trip)

The Bad:
1.-Cylinder head replaced at 20,000 miles.
2.-Then at close to 30,000 had some other repair done under warranty (P0441 EVAP EMISSION SYSTEM FAULT)
3.- At 52,000 miles when the alternator failed. (road trip in FL) $820.
4.- In the past two years I have added almost a pint of steering fluid, however it doesn't show any leaks. (maybe its collecting in the boots)
5.- Yesterday at 53K miles having starting issues. Takes a few trys, stumbles but then it runs fine. Going to the dealer today. Update: The dealer called and says it needs a new TIPM. An $1,100 job. Got new TIPM by FCA.
6.- Got the alternator replaced under the recall.
7.- Still haven't done the Fuel Pump Relay recall.
8.- At 70,000 miles got code P0456 EVAP Emission Control System Leak Very Small.
9.- Rear shocks are making some noise. Probably the upper mounts. (70,000+ miles)
10.- A/C quit working today @ 71,000+ miles
