Default LiftGate Switch Wiring Missing

2011 CrewLux:
The liftgate switch at the left rear pillar has no wiring to it. The liftgate works fine from the FOB and front overhead switch. I looked behind the switch molding as far down as I could with a mirror and flashlight, but could see no wiring. I need to know where this wiring is supposed to come from and how to get access to it. I don't have a shop manual. A diagram or pictures would sure be helpful.
I did take it back to the dealer, but he didn't have any better clue than I do on how to get access behind the plastic interior molding and I didn't want him breaking off those plastic tabs and leaving me with the results that I don't discover for months.

I have the crewlux also and have a button where you are talking about.
I wonder if it's a transmitter like the FOB has and doesn't have wiring?

I wish it did. I have the switch out and it clearly has a wiring receptacle. It pops right out if you pull on the forward part pulling backwards as you do. Where does the wiring come from? Above, below, ??

There are two wires that run toward the front along the side. Help it helps. Can you remove the panel on the side for emergency fuel cap release and find it?

Well, I wasn't sure what you were talking about because I didn't see any "panel." And I didn't know about the emergency fuel cap release. I was about to give up when I decided to pull out the storage bin and wala... There it was, the purple and orange wire hanging down as in this picture.[QUOTE]

All I had to do was fish it up and plug it in. Thanks so very much.
